basslovr Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Anybody fish this lake lately? I got an opportunity to go here next Friday....any reports would be greatly appreciated...thank you in advance. Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted October 9, 2012 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted October 9, 2012 Fished in a tourney six weeks ago. There are six or seven FWC man made fish attractors marked with bouys. Not all of them produced fish but some of them did. If you have good electronics you should be graphing fish in the 6-7 ft range. We caught them on an Aruka shad and spinner baits. Also there are four decent canals on the lake. Two on the North and two on the East side. Caught fish in all of them on swim baits and flipping the edges. The Walk is an awesome big fish lake, but be careful. It can go from flat calm to flat out dangerous in just a few minutes. Late in the day we were fishing one of the attractors that was producing fish and took two waves over the bow in my Triton 20X2. That's the first time I have been scared off a spot in years. Quote

tstone Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Yes thats the Spro lipless crank. Soft swim baits, and I can't remember what Lee was flipping with but I caught my fish flipping a junebug lizard with a chartreuse tail Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted October 10, 2012 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted October 10, 2012 Soft swim bait is the Bitters bait and tackle Naked Swimmer (color 118 gr pumpkin candy pearl) and I was flippin the Gambler ugly otter in Black/blue. Quote
basslovr Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 thanks again...."Naked Swimmer".sounds like a knock-off of the "Skinny Dipper"...lol...and I just happen to have some of them Ugly Otters too....great bait!...thank you again for the information...you are most kind. Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted October 11, 2012 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted October 11, 2012 It is a knock off that is half the price and has better tail action IMO. 1 Quote

Super User MCS Posted October 23, 2012 Super User Posted October 23, 2012 I found a local shop that sells the bitters products. I have to agree with everyone, they are cheaper but better quality than similar products out there. Quote

You too huh lol? It is scary being out there when the waves start up especially with the size of the lake. There are some good flipping spots on Walk-in-Water, haven't been out there since the water came up recently. Quote
