Do they come with skirts ?

The Spot Remover come in 3 models. 1. without a skirt. 2. The Pro Model which has a screw in type keeper and no skirt. and 3. Finesse Jig, which is the Spot Remover head with a short, wire tied skirt.

I'm a big fan of the Spot Remover for anytime I need a stand up shaky head. A stand up head is useless unless you have a relatively bouyant worm. If you have a real high floating worm, any shaky head becomes a stand up head.

I use Pacassio stand down jig heads for a shaky head. Today I would give Northstar a try because they have goods quality like Pacasio and use a premium Hook.

I prefer MegaStrike Shake2 Pro Series

These are good, along with Jewel's Squirrel head. It has a great light wire hook.

megastrike shake2. trust me, you would be hard pressed to find a better stand up jig head. And they come with a screw keeper as well as a keeper on the hook. I use the hook keeper to put a skirt on. You can use the EZ change skirts. You can tie on a megastrike shakey head and be able to change the plastic and skirt without retying. \

These things dont fall down. The biggest problem I have with them is getting them to lat flat so I can close my tackle box.

Is the screw keeper before the hook keeper? Just confused as to how you use a trailer with no skirt

What kind of trailers are you guys using ?

You are confused ; a shaky head jig is intended to be used without a skirt, the worm is attached by screwing the nose end onto the spring keeper. The shaky head may or may not be a stand up design, most are round heads, some have a flat spot. The stand up jig head does have a skirt collar cylinder that extends off the jig he'd to accommodate a skirt.

The shaky head is designed to be used with a soft high floatation plastic worm, however you can attach whatever soft plastic creature you desire.

I too have recently got into shakey head fishing. Seems some people dont like them but I use the Spot Remover Pro Model with the screw lock and theyre dynamite in my opinion. The way they make plastic worms and creature baits stand up vertically on the bottom is awesome. And almost every fish i catch is hooked in the nose due to the way the hook is positioned when its standing up. I love them things.

I have used many different shakeyheads and have had the absolute best success with these. http://www.siebertou...p/zenith-shakey

I have used many different baits on these but the Zoom finesse worm and 4" dead ringer have been fantastic.

This is an awesome presentation for quantity IMO. I have never caught size but always catch numbers of fish. I like the megastrike and spot remover. As for plastics, just pic something light like a worm. I use a zoom trick worm or finesse worm. I prefer something subtle.

X2 For hard bottom areas, with limited grass, I find them very effective. Like Bassassassin726 said, I also get mostly roof of the mouth hook-ups on the bass.

Yea man, if youre in an area thats not too snaggy theyre dynamite. Obviously theres better choices around weeds and rip rap but for a generally flat bottom you cant go wrong with the spot remover. And i love that most hook ups are in the roof of the mouth. I feel like its harder for them to throw the hook when its hooked up there.
