Caught my PB Crappie today a nice 16" 2#2oz. Was after Northerns but this one hit a SK 1/2oz Red Eye Shad Chrome Blue. Was a nice fight even with a 7'Med Fast Smoke rod & 50E reel. To say the least I was thrilled. Here a few pics.

Great fish. Up in Rockford I see, man I can really tell fall is in full swing by the background in those pictures. I'm curious, has that lake you're fishing tturned over yet?

Quake, any idea how long it took the lake to settle down? I'm a few or more hours or south of you and currently dealing with the turnover on about a 250 acre lake.

Thx

Week, week and a half, it got very pale murky green but now cleared-up some still not as clear as normal yet, see usually 12'-15' or so now 8'-10' its only a 26acre lake though.

NICE! That's a big crappie for northern IL. Got my PB at Heideke when it was still a powerplant lake. 15" 1lb 14oz. If you don't mind me asking, what lake were you fishing? If you do mind, I understand completely.

i also caught my pb crappie on a 1/2 oz redeye. It went 17 inches and a tad over 2.5 lbs. It is now hanging on the wall in my basement.
