HookSetDon Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I dont have a jack plate on my boat but was wondering if it was possible to mount the power pole to the motor bracket that gets mounted to the boat and operates the electric trim, Its a 115 optimax. I hate the idea of having to drill holes in the boat. Quote
3dees Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 yes. they have mounting plates that go between the motor and transom. port or starboard. just make sure you get the right one. Quote
HookSetDon Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 Will this require me to remove my outboard though, I'm trying to do the installation myself. The mechanic wants 500 bucks Quote
Crappiebasser Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 On mine I had to remove the mounting bolts to move the engine back a 1/4". The mounting plates go between the engine and transom. Quote
