Question: Should I Tip Delivery Drivers?

I delivered inflatable bounce houses, water slides, cotton candy/sno-cone/spin-art machines, etc. for birthday parties a couple years ago, and usually received decent tips...especially since we made it a habit to show up with a dozen balloons for the birthday boy/girl. If a bounce house was scheduled from 10am-8pm, the ones that tipped would have their pickup time extended to 9pm, 10pm, or sometimes the next morning, if they were a (good) repeat customer. The ones that stiffed us got to see the big white van roll up 15-20 minutes early.

Also, do you guys tip the dudes that dry your car at a carwash?

I suppose I would but I can't remember the last time my piece of junk car was washed. I think the dirt is whats holding it together.

Actually, it wasn't bad at all. The bounce houses are heavy (our lightest one weighed 350lbs), but the kids are always happy to see you, everyone offers you food/cake/beer, we got paid in cash (30% of the total rental fee), and we only worked 2.5 days a week. They were long days (12-18hrs), but alot of that time was spent driving. Also, we could opt not to deliver/setup the inflatable if the customer was a real PITA.

Lol well I work at one and the people with Junkers are the ones that tip the most (not most in dollar amount but usually they tip more often than people in like, Mercedes or jaguars)

I've also gotten tipped in beer and cigarettes. Once a guy offered me a half of a joint lol

If you want to work for tips, get a job as a skycap at a busy airport. If you can find one.

It's possible to earn (wages and tips) over a hundred grand per year. High school diploma is all the education needed, but you also need great people skills to maximize the tips you receive.
