Joe D Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Just thought I would share how I store my jigs, I have noticed threads about these types of things in the past but have never had pictures to share, so here you go. I used to always use 3700 boxes, but never liked them. In the last couple of years I went to all tackle binders, one for lizards, one for tubes, etc and I love keeping things seperate. This is the idea I had for jigs so they are not a huge mess in the bottom of a bag. I asked my mom to run two lines with her sewing machine in each bag, making three equal compartments. Stop the stitch line about an inch from the top so the bag opens easy. Each bag holds three jigs with no problem, each binder holds 60 easy and 75 if you stuff them in. I also did some for spinnerbaits. On those I only run one stitch line so the bag has two compartments. I have used these for two seasons and they show no signs of wear. I hope someone finds this useful. Joe Quote

Carrington Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 joe d, i live just south of richmond and i am wondering where you got those binder, and how much is 1 binder. i may switch over to those after seeing that because it looks like a smart idea. Quote
Joe D Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 The one in the picture is a bass pro shops model $7.00. That however is not my favorite, I prefer the ones that zip closed. Most I bought at walmart for about 5.00 each, but they don't carry them anymore. If you go to dicks, or online most places have them for about $10.00, an etra 10 bags is 2.50. I have I think, alot of stuff and I filled up 12 bags. Jigs (70), Spinnerbaits (65), Worms, Lizards, Craws, Tubes, soft swimbaits, trickworms, flukes, creaturebaits, and I can't remeber the other to. It used to take 20 3700 boxes, plus 3 spinnerbait boxes, Now it is all in the binders and 3 deepwell 3700's Joe Quote
