Can't say without seeing the structure. Also boat or shore? Without knowing that stuff, I'd get a fix on the area around the place you are parking, starting with going up and down the shoreline stopping at each structure. Then expand outward into the water, stopping at each transition or underwater structure.

I'm no expert, but these are the areas I would personally hit first.

You might try posting this question in the Northeast forum in the Local Fishing Forums section. Maybe some of your fellow Ohio anglers can give you some good tips from personal experience :)

How would you guys fish this lake from just looking at the topo map. http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/Portals/9/Images/fishing/Lake%20Maps/pub259.gif this lake always seems to get me even though it has a decent small and largemouth population. Looking for some pointers please.

I know it's been a few months since you posted this, but I just saw it and thought I'd give you some advice.  Clint C. made some good suggestions, and those are in fact great places.  Actually, staying near the end of Lake Milton where the dam is located is the best option.  The steep banks and rip rap found along the banks provide a great habitat.  I would also suggest you go to the points on the map marked by the bobber symbol.  The ODNR does a decent job of pointing out places where fish are typically caught for shore anglers.  Hope this works for you if you make it back there in the spring.
