If I wanted a Shimano, I would've bought one. Don't want one, so I don't have one. You Shimano guys are a little over bearing sometimes.

Over bearing is an understatement. Whenever theres a thread about an Abu having a problem, they come in and tell everyone to buy a shimano. When a Shimano has a problem they have a bunch of excuses, and if a Abu guy goes into the thread and tells them to buy an Abu, the thread gets shut down.

Online but swapped it out at the store. The guy at the counter was amazed at how tight the handle was. New one is like night and day. These new Abus have let me down so far.

I returned 3 in a row on the first generation series. About to sell my Premier since if not constantly lubed it loses casting distance dramatically, I only like the Skeet Reese series for some reason it has no issues compared to the rest of the line in my case.

LOL.

Let me suggest a Daiwa then, I am not brand loyal, in fact I have Daiwas, Shimano, Abu's, Penn, Quantum and Okumas. From my experience for modern reels its tough to beat Shimano and Daiwa I have had very little if no issues with them compared to other brands and this goes back about 20 years.

I'm not brand loyal either. I've been fishing with Daiwas, Shimanos, Abus, Quantums and Zebcos all of my life. Abus are what I primarily use now, because they just feel good in my hand and perform nicely.
