Super User A-Jay Posted September 29, 2012 Super User Posted September 29, 2012 The last of 2 weeks of rain combined with several miles of two-track access roads had caused a fair amount of "Groad" to form on the truck which indicated it was time for a cleaning. So I spent the morning yesterday washing / detailing the truck. Completed by noon, took my wife out to lunch, ran a couple of routine errands and returned home. After dinner, I went out to load my gear in the truck for the next mornings fishing. And there it was, some fine human had found it necessary to Key the entire length of the passenger side of the vehicle. Come On Man ! What kind of a Knuckle head does this ? And why do they feel that I'm to blame for their lot in life ? Side bar - all of the establishments we visited yesterday have parking lot security camera coverage. I hoping this may provide me an opportunity to meet this special person and mention how I really didn't appreciate their decision to deface my personal property. (and then rip their #$%^&%$@ throat out ! ) OK - I'm done ( but still really not a happy camper ! ) A-Jay Quote
shootermcbob Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Sorry to hear that A-Jay. I have no clue why such idiots feel compelled to do what they do. Quote

Super User retiredbosn Posted September 29, 2012 Super User Posted September 29, 2012 My 2011 silverado received the same treatment,.except driver side. I went in a restaurant to pick up a to go order, back within 3 minutes. Makes ya sick. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted September 29, 2012 Super User Posted September 29, 2012 That's a bummer. Hope you find out who did it. Makes you wonder why people find it necessary to destroy other peoples property. Quote
preach4bass Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 If you catch the idiot, ask him why his kind choose to key someone else's car. It seems to be an idiot, and mess with some random dude's ride, you should just pee on their tires. It's more personal, gets the point across (whatever the point is), and your idiocracy can be erased with a little soap and water. As you're using his face to buff the scratches out, ask him that for me. Thanks! Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 30, 2012 Global Moderator Posted September 30, 2012 Man that sucks. Hopefully the places you went have good cameras. My wife's car got backed into at Sam's Club and you could see the truck backing into it but other than it was a white truck you couldn't see anything useful. Someone put scratches on my drivers side headlight and front panel in the Cabela's parking lot a couple months later. You'd think a place like that would have awesome camera's but other than by the front entrance they had nothing that could even see where my truck was parked. It really irked me because I parked away from everyone to try to avoid crap like that and door dings. It seems there aren't many people that take anything into consideration that doesn't effect them around anymore. Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted September 30, 2012 Super User Posted September 30, 2012 Thats beat man. Hope you find out who did it. My dad had a 69 Impala that he restored himself. Didn't have a garage at the time so it was parked on the street and a couple of 8 year olds took a metal spoon to both sides. When he confronted their parents they were like "They're just kids". How does that make it ok? Whats the world coming to? I swear I hate people more and more every day. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted September 30, 2012 Super User Posted September 30, 2012 Man that is awful, some knuckle-head left a Home Depot cart butted up against the passenger side of my nice BLACK F-150, needless to say it dinged my passenger side a bit, but I was able to buff most of it out. You don't have any jealous Xs running around do you...LOL... 1 Quote
Traveler2586 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 That really sucks A-Jay, I hope it all works out for you. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted September 30, 2012 Author Super User Posted September 30, 2012 Yea this incident with the truck was a bummer. Earlier in the week, we had some challenges arise surrounding my wife's health, so Life seemed to be piling it on us a pretty good. As is often the case, it wasn't as bad as it looked. (But still rubbed me the wrong way) I managed to buff / polish the majority of it out. I had purchased a professional buffing machine when I bought my GTO a few years back, and it has come in very handy since. Truth be told, I think I polish the car more than I drive it - there's something wrong with me . . . . . . A-Jay Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted September 30, 2012 Super User Posted September 30, 2012 Sorry to hear about the truck A-Jay and I'm glad you were able to get most of it out! I hope there is nothing serious to your wife's health? All my best to her. 1 Quote
