I have a legend tournament which I love but its the older model. I would love to start switching all of my rods to legend tournaments but the new two piece reel seat looks weird to me. I was wondering how you guys like yours and if there are any durability issues since the reel seats are all plastic. Thanks.

I had the same concern about the handle, but since I got a newer one I have tested it on solid hooksets and 4lb fish, i tend not don't worry about it anymore

i use the new ones and the reel seat is very comfortable and durable. no problems with 5lb+ bass or dirty river big head 20#+ carp ever taking the reel out of place.

I have 6 LTB rods now with 5 of them being the newer split grips. All very durable and sensitive rods and I will for sure be buying more.

I have only one of the new LTB which is the 7-9 swimbait and I'm quite surprised at the comfort of the rod. I really like the reel seat and grip. I'm glad I went that route.
