Matthew Veillion Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Whats your personal favorite? Quote
VolFan Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Rage hawg or SK Perfect plastic Hawg or Speed craw...in that order. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted September 23, 2012 Super User Posted September 23, 2012 I like and use the Paca craws and chunks. I have not used any Rage craws only because I bought a large supply of Pacas on sale a couple of years ago and if it ain't broke, why fix it? Big O is a regular on this board and a site sponsor, and when it comes time to replenish my stock I will buy some Rage trailers to see what all the talk is about. Quote
Jake P Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Rage craw. Best action of any soft plastic. Quote
bassh8er Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I've tried the Rage and they look good, but I have the most confidence in a Yum Crawbug. It looks the most natural and produces the best for this guy. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted September 23, 2012 Super User Posted September 23, 2012 Rage chunk is my favorite, but all of those work. Pacas seem to last the best though. Quote
Brand0n Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 rage craw or chunk occasionaly paca Quote

cadman Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I use Netbait paca chunks and craws only. Tried Rage Tail and they don't last as long as Net bait. I'll keep my Net bait Thank You. For those of you that don't want your Netbait chunks and craws, you can send them all to me. LOL Quote
M-D Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I prefer the paca chunk and paca chunk sr Quote
Quillback Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I like Rage chunks and I also like the Paca chunks, one brand sometimes comes in a color I like and the other doesn't, so my decision is often based on color rather than brand. I have confidence in either one. 1 Quote
river-rat Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I use two types of craw trailers depending on the mood of the fish. For years I've used the either the 4" or 6" Gene Larew Salt craw when the fish seem to prefer a more subtle presentation. When I want more action, I'll use a Zoom Super Speed Craw, Paca Chunk, or a Rage Craw. Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted September 26, 2012 Super User Posted September 26, 2012 Gambler Mega Daddy. Zoom Speed Craws for my small jigs. Quote
dale.m Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I'm a fan of the paca chunks because of the color choices and durability. Quote
Super User WRB Posted September 26, 2012 Super User Posted September 26, 2012 The question was ; Best craw for jig trailers? Why limit the choices? If you don't have confidence with a jig trailer, why waste your previous time on the water using a product because it's free or less expensive? Use a trailer that works for you and keep trying out trailers during a good bite, don't wait until the bite is tough, there is nothing like catching bass to boost your confidence. My answer is none of the choices and I have tried them, they don't work well with my jig fishing techniques. Tom Quote
riskkid 2 Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Rage Craws on all but smaller jigs where I use Paca chunks Quote
Fishin24/7 Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 How do y'all put the rage chunks on the jig? Do you thread them on the hook or hook it through the center like a regular pork chunks? Quote
Matthew Veillion Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 Thread them on the hook! It will just fall off if you hook it like a pork trailer Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted January 6, 2013 Super User Posted January 6, 2013 Haven't used those in my limited jig fishing but I have been using stankxbaitco hero craws myself. Quote
