Yeah, fall has started for sure. I haven't been able to get out fishing in the fall for the last few years that I've been much more serious with bass fishing, so I'm curious about conditions.

Weather is calling for rain for a couple days. I don't really know if the fall transition started yet, I've only been out once on of my local lakes in the last couple weeks due to work, and I seen some of the clues. There was a lot of trash on the surface and a normally very clear lake was pretty dirty. I figure if this pretty large body of water has turned over, some smaller lakes and ponds that I frequent with my kayak and Jonboat should have been done and over with, right?

We just had a cold front come through, but there is another right on its heals it looks like... And drastic drop from 80's and sunny to 40's at night, I'm just not familiar with.

Whats that going to do to the fishing?

I also know to avoid fishing during lightning storms, just dumb and usually spooks the fish anyways. But if its just a couple days of straight rain, I could imagine this would be a good thing wouldn't it? Bringing the levels up, moving into shallows, and putting on the feed bag with no sun in sight.

Whats the word on this crackpot of conditions? I'd normally just go anyways, but I'm heading to a kind of large "pond" that is a ways off, but is very tempting by reputation. If conditions are crap, I'd rather save the gas for another day.

I'm a few hours north and yes - we've had several days of Rain, Cold and Big Wind.

Haven't seen any turn over yet but the wacky weather has Not helped the bite out at all on any of the waters locally.

It's been very tough. This weekend still looks bogus with still more rain, wind and cooler air temps.

But on a more positive note, next week is forecast to better with something closer to seasonal air temps and a heck of a lot less wind.

btw - I've got a ton of In-Laws down your way.

I'm not in Michigan but only about an hour south of it. We've been having the same type of temps. The bite has been tough but I have found bass in the backs of creeks and channels (shallow water 1-3ft) munching on whatever bait fish are there.

Only 2 things keep me from fishing, lighting and or my wife complaining, as I fish 7 days the latter is no problem. If the wind is too strong, I just make plans to fish elsewhere. Some of the greatest fish have caught have been when all the fishing indicators were against me, a line out of the water catches nothing.

BTW, I am originally from Michigan, lived on Cass lake in Oakland county before I moved to FLA.

I have been sick the last couple days so I decided not to head out today. Gonna try for tomorrow if I feel better since the little woman is going down state to see her mother.

I'm going fishing in Waterford today. High of 57 and sunny. These colder temps probably haven't made the fishing better, but I've been working so much and just wanna be on a boat and fish. Like snook said, a line out of the water catches nothing (really like that saying)
