ZooB Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Found this site researching Senko's and how to fish them because ive heard good things, and since then have gone on two fishing trips with my dad and have been trying to apply what i have learned through my research since when we used to fish we targeted trout most of the time and bass was a "once in a while" thing for when the trout werent biting for whatever reason, or we felt like something different. So far have done quite well, though I have not caught a fish on a Senko, in fact ive been fishing the old standby, a white spinnerbait and assorted color buzzbaits. But i plan on Focusing a few baits until i really get them down, then working on others until i have my bases covered. I caught my new PB on Monday morning around 1130... threw an old nasty single willow blade spinner(Had a green blade, black head with red eyes, and a black and blue skirt.) up to where the dock met the shore... Started reeling and it got hit and i set the hook and actually got disappointed. I thought i snagged! She just inhaled it and sat there for a second, Then my line started moving and it was FISH ON. Pulled in a MONSTER (atleast to me and my dad) And we calculated her weight through the pictures to be about 6 lbs. I had to sit down and not fish for about 5 minutes my hands were shaking and everything. Best adrenaline rush ever. She got released safely back to the water for another person to catch down the road, but not without a kiss I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here for being a great community where people can come ask questions and learn more about this sport, ive already learned so much, and don't plan on stopping anytime soon, so keep the good tips and tricks coming.
