HMMMM -wont go there-

Actually caught some of my largest bass on the 1/8 oz buzzbait. It works great on water that is smooth as glass-sometimes larger ones are to obnoxious and they dont want them- the 1/8 oz size is subtle and great for those tough days.

Why would you use an 1/8oz buzzbait? Seems like if the bite is tough and you want a more subtle presentation, a buzzbait would be one of the last choices.

I use Terminator and Strike King buzzbaits although I really dont have a favorite brand, as long as they buzz they work for me. I like having a white one and a black one. Single blade,. never used a "clacker"

Well, I'm your biggest fan and it's 'bout time you get your butt back on the sponsor's board!

The MegaStike Cavitron is THE BOMB!

I don't use 1/8oz spinnerbaits too often. I have some Strike King, BPS, and perhaps some other brands on hand.

For 1/8oz buzzbaits, I use the Strike King Mini Pro-Buzz as well. Like you say, they're pretty flimsy but still a relatively good value - especially if you tend to loose them on brush, trees, etc. when fishing from shore. I got two pretty nice fish earlier this year on the Pro-Buzz - a 4.80 from the boat, and a 5.11 fishing from the bank.

The river smallies around here in the small shallow rifles crush 1/8 buzzers. The 3/8-1/2 models get bit too, but the little 1/8 are great for just fun fishing and catch some fish that I think the bigger baits dont...AT TIMES.

I'd really like to see someone make a quality small profile buzzer with more weight built in. I'd love to have a bait with the profile of the strike king 1/8 pro buzz but 3/8 weight! Im thinking about rigging something with tungstun weights this winter in the garage.

Post in the tackle making section. I'm sure there are member that pour their own jigs that have tried buzzbaits. You could find ones they have made or try pouring your own. My local shop sells jig forms that could make any size jig or spinner or buzzbait I could imagine. I'm just too lazy to try it.

Thanks man I'll do that in a month or so once life checks up and I'm ready to roll with it. Its on my list for this winter along with jig making. Last year it was tuning baitcasters and pouring my own plastics, both of which are addictive as all get out!

I love a 1/8 ounce buzzbait...there light enough that you can fish them right over lily pads, and go slow when you have to.I just get a local guy to make mine.

For spinnerbaits I seldom go below a 1/4 but I do have those 1/8 mini strike kings.I find you really have to go slow with them or they roll.

I have a hard time fishing the 1/8 size with baitcasting gear. I wade and usually only have one rod. I have switched to the 3/16 size. They seem more like "real" baits in almost the same 1/8 size, but easier to fish.

Good point. I have BC combos that would toss these 1/8oz buzzbaits easy enough...but since one of the conditions that would lead me to use a buzzbait is wind, I just don't make the effort to fish them on BC gear and nearly always toss them with spinning rods (as shown in the photo above).

Every time I see people recommending cavitron buzz baits I cringe. I've purchased two neither ran true and couldn't be tuned to run true. The lead head on both were loose out of the box. I emailed mega-strike no response. I've tried to contact Bobby here but either his box is full or he doesn't receive pm's. Its the main reason I quit using the attractant, gotta stand behind your product.

Ouch--Im right here-in the office 10 hours a day. Never heard of the heads being lose- They are poured-secured -Nobody stands behind their product more than us-PERIOD Call me 732-780-7383 -Usually if the baits not running true -it means your retieve is to fast.
