Bass Angler Magazine Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 By fan vote Iaconelli, Skeet, Swindle and Aaron Martens were all picked by fan vote to be able to fish in the All-Star event. These guys had the most fan votes - are these guys you would like to read from or about in future issues of BAM? 1 Quote
nycgrip Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 i would suggest skipping ike, only because there is book out about him, and several articles. maybe ish monroe, or one of the japanese just for diversity. Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted September 17, 2012 Super User Posted September 17, 2012 i would suggest skipping ike, only because there is book out about him, Why would that be a negative factor towards him being voted in? Quote
nycgrip Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 are these guys you would like to read from or about in future issues of BAM? My comment refers to this, not the all star event. Ike has done a great job of branding himself, with a book and several articles about himself its quite easy to find out alot about him, probably one of the most written up about bass anglers out there of recent times. Super User MarkH024 Posted September 17, 2012 Super User Posted September 17, 2012 Gotcha. It wasn't clear what you meant by that comment so that is why I asked. Thanks for clarifying, I see your point. Quote
buzzfrog Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 ish and the Tak, the 2004 BM classic winner, hardly ever here about them, ish is a good fisherman, whatched that scott martin chalenge and he was a frogging away Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted September 17, 2012 Super User Posted September 17, 2012 I like Ish too. I think he is the ish (get it?, haha). I also like my local boy Chris Lane. Quote
papajoe222 Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Don't really know if I'd enjoy reading about them as I prefer articles I can gather fishing information from. That doesn't mean I'm not interested in their personal history, I'd just prefer to read articles from them rather than about them. To answer your question; yes, in that context. Quote
RyneB Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 anyone but Martens. He always seems to be a cry baby. I know that he is arguably the 2nd best bass fisherman in the world, but he just comes off as a cry baby. He compains about pleasure boaters, and fishermen fishing by his spot. I am an Ike fan, i like Skeet but he hasnt had a good year. Quote
Clint C. Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I actually would love to read more about Martens. Seems to like the same type of fishing I do. Quote
Bass Angler Magazine Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 Good news we have a Aaron Martens article coming up in the winter issue 2 Quote
