TNBassin' Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I'm wanting to buy a rod from them online, and was wondering if any of you have ever ordered one from them? If so, is it packed well, and is the rod new and wrapped in plastic? I really don't wanna get a broken tip like some of my rods from Amazon that were poorly packed. Thanks. Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted September 16, 2012 Super User Posted September 16, 2012 You getting another Veritas? Quote
TNBassin' Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 I'm actually gonna buy another Vendetta. I have a 6'6 M right now, but Academy.com has a 6'9 MH for a great price. I've had issues with busted rods from Amazon, so I don't buy rods online anymore, but this deal is just too good to pass up. I was hoping someone would have some experience ordering from them, and if they arrive newly packaged in plastic, or if they are "off the shelf" rods. And I have a question for you since you're in this thread. For the Revo S, the spring loaded brakes are always on right? The only ones that click "on" are the pitch ones correct?? 1 Quote
fishking247 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 buy from tackle warehouse. they do a good job protecting the rod while shipping it. Quote

I have a dealer that can get the veritas at a good price. Don't know if he stocks the vendetta though. I leave all 3 non pitch breaks on at all times. They basically just work at the beginning of the cast. Move them towards the outside of the spool l leave the 3 pitch breaks off at all times towards the center of the spool unless is windy or I need breaking throughout the entire cast. Think of the pitch breaks as a magnetic break so to speak. Only need it in heavy wind. With the pitch breaks off, you get more distance Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted September 16, 2012 Super User Posted September 16, 2012 I think it's time for a you tube video Quote
zachb34 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I ordered a few vendettas they came in a large slim box completely wrapped in bubble wrap and foam blocks with those big air bubbles to stop them from moving inside they were well packed for me. Quote
TNBassin' Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Thanks. Were they in ok condition? Any gouges or anything on the anodized pieces ? Quote
