Hey guys, just giving you my input for whatever its worth.

I took my new Revo S (3rd generation) out for the second time and decided to compare it to my new Chronarch that I've had for about 3 months. Now I know the Chronarch is $70.00 more than the Revo S but I thought I would set both up as close to identical as I could. I put both reels on identical Veritas Winch Rods and threw the samel 3/8 oz. crankbait on both. After casting both reels for approximately 50 casts each at the same target, I have to say that the Revo S held up pretty well as far as distance. The Chronarch was getting an extra 2 feet or so but both were casting the 3/8 oz crankbait a very long way. As far as smoothness the Chronarch might have the edge but not by much. After I completed my amateur casting test, I went back and forth fishing both reels all day long. I really feel that Abu Garcia hit this one out of the park with the new Revo S. I feel for the $129.00 price tag, it can stand up with the $200.00 price range reels. Now we will just have to see if they hold up longevity wise with the Shimanos. The way they feel, I think they just might. Just my 2 cents worth.

I got my Revo S on the way. Rockchalk talked me into getting one, and he's been raving about his. Seems like the S may be the best one in the Revo lineup this year.

I haven't read much or played with the new Revo STX or SX's so I can't comment but the new Revo S is amazing. I have 2 Gen 2 STX's and my New S is just as fun to use.

My Revo was a tad noisy compared to others during the cast, but it's a beast for distance. I am going to fish mine hard for until this winter so see how she holds up.

Make sure to do a review on them at the online places. Alot of people are waiting on reviews before they commit.

If they are anything like the original S I bet they hold up just fine. I have 5 of the originals and they all work great. And I am pretty rough on my gear.
