Nice, you'll love the champion, especially when you get a closer look at the paint/carbon wrap and cork. I've got a new Dobyns coming in the mail today too, DX703SF. It'll be my 4th gen2 Dobyns...no turning back now. Cant wait to get out on the river!

Just got it about an hour ago. Really looks great. Had it out in the back yard. Love it. The lake tomorrow.

X2. I'm absolutely in love with all my dobyns rods (3 so far). I just purchased the swimbait rod recently and love it just wish it had the cork handle like all the others but its still an amazing rod.

Dobyns for life!

Just got the Savy 704c in the mail and already love it! Not too fancy of a rod but already feels strong. Will be curious to see what you feel about the champion series.

got my rod today, about 2ft section of the rod shipping tube was caved in some to where that section of the tube was flat and soft on one-side. Pulled out rod at first sight didn't see any damage. Took a closer look, right where damage was on rod tube i have a ring around rod where looks like could be tiny hairline fractures or where the rod may have binded during shipping. :rolleyes2: With the big baits i plan on throwing think ill be sending this rod back and not risking it breaking later down the road! My 2nd Dobyns rod this summer that had to be shipped back bc of mis handling from UPS. I watched my ups guy kinda toss my rod over deck railing and leaned it against post with out even coming up on my deck, but that was not the cause of the main damage done to rod tube.

The Savvys are great rods. I have 4 of them. That's what made me want to jump up a notch just to see. Never owned a $200.00+ rod in my life. This thing is really sweet. I might be in line for another one for Christmas. Someone please forward this to my wife. lol
