Hey guys,

A guy I ran in to in this area (southern Ohio near West Virginia) said he has a good bit of success fishing texas rigged chigger craws, but that's all the info I got from him. So here's a few questions for you if you dont mind:

1) Do you guys think the 3" or the 4" would be better? Our bass don't usually get over 4 or 5 lbs so I was kinda thinking the 3" might be the way to go. Also, it seems kinda odd to use a 4" crawfish lure since they dont really get that big.

2) Would green pumpkin and black & blue be the way to go color wise for good starter colors?

3) Any other insight on these lures would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS!!!

1.  Pick the size that you think will work better.  Most days, it won't matter, on the days that it does, there's probably a lot more working against you.

2.  Both proven colors.  Get both.

3.  Don't simply limit yourself to t-rigs.  Jig trailers, weightless as a surface lure, c-rig, are all other options.

you could always go with the 3"in a watermelon or green pumpkin and use these  in your clearer water you fish . i would buy the 4"in black & blue and use these in murkier stained water.

I second this advice.

i use the 4 inchers with AWESOME results, i went through a pack in two short outings, and i catch bass half the size of what you catch, dont think they wont hit it because its 4 inches, i had bass from 6-18 inches nailing this lure....my favorite color is black neon (black red flake)

now i have a question, if crawfish are red, then how come people use black/blue all the time for jigs and craws and not black/red??? i mean there is no, blue crawfish crankbaits on the market?
