tatertester Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 When we catch a Northern Pike instead of a Bass , we refer to the Pike as a "snakeuth pikeuth". Quote

Super User Ratherbfishing Posted January 16, 2014 Super User Posted January 16, 2014 Whenever I catch a dink it's either "That there's a wall hanger!" or "That there's one of dem Florida strain bass!" Quote
Big Jon Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Haha, this was so funny. I just wasted so much time reading through this instead of working. I don't say anything as i'm usually fishing alone, but I couldn't post what I say in my head most of the time. When I'm fishing with someone: "Isn't it weird how you can catch them all day long when you're by yourself." Of course, the're always "Dad Gummit!" Quote
RMcDuffee726 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Losing a fish = Sitting in silence groaning. Quote

Big_Bass_John Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 That's a nice bass. Where'd you catch it? Customary replies: In the water. Right here. (insert pic of finger hooked inside mouth) Off the rocks. (table rock line) Off a stump. (Smithville or mozingo line) 2 Quote
evilcatfish Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 If they seem me fishing swimbaits/big baits "there are no muskies in this lake lol." Ha, the joke is on them Quote
gr8outdoorz Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 On days I'm not catching I always look up at the sky and say: "Why you not letting them out to play today??? They must have been really bad last night!" Quote
reb67 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 THERE HE IS! and my wife laughs at me every time. Quote
bmac31 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 He's huge, he just crushed my (insert lure type). - Turns out to be a 1.5lb He was only a baby bass - any fish I lose no matter how big he might've been Quote
wakeeater Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 when my fishing partner is clearing a backlash, i like to ask "are you counting line again?" sometimes i throw out a Mortal Combat "GET OVER HERE!" when i've got a good one hooked up. or "get in the boat, you big slonch donkey!" (i stole that off zona). 1 Quote

CorbinCoach Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Anytime I'm fishing a new bait without any luck. "Man that bait looks so good I'm about to jump in there and bite it myself" Quote
Brandon Knight Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Sometimes just to mess with others fishing around me ill jerk my line REALLY hard and yell "Walleye!!!!!" and reel up fast as possible, Then just re cast like nothing happened. Dumb I know, but the looks are priceless. Another one a friend and i started a long time ago was just simply "Natural Presentation" when we would mess up and cast all the way on the bank, or when we would cast over a tree limb on accident. GaterB Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Anytime I'm fishing a new bait without any luck. "Man that bait looks so good I'm about to jump in there and bite it myself" Welcome to the forums! This one's a classic for me haha Quote
CayMar Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Another thing I say to mess with my buddies is: nothing at all. I reel my fish in , unhook it, look it over, and put it back in the water. They get so riled up because I dont get pumped up on every fish. I really do get pumped, but I know hiding it will elicit a reaction from them, which is hilarious. 2 Quote
