Mumpy Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Do you like them? When do you use them? When you build them do you put a weedguard on them? TIA Quote
Mumpy Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 Well I researched a couple of the questions I had. So, when you pour them you place a weedguard in the mold so it shuts the hole up and then trim it off. I see that you use them just about anywhere or anytime, basically if you were going to cast a Spinnerbait, you can cast a Chatterbait. It seems a lot of people like using them, so, I think I'll start making some of these. Quote
Bass Dude Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Personally, I don't use Chatterbaits with a weedguard. With a moving bait, I think the weedguards get in the way and lessen your hooking percentage. If you are going to use one...pour the head first, with no weedguard. Then once it's cooled...paint it, add the skirt and glue in the weedguard. Quote
Mumpy Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 Thanks BD - Yea, I don't plan on using a Weedguard, that was my inexperience showing on Chatterbaits. Quote
