Where you just should have stayed in the rack - when everything you do just gets screwed up ?

Well, I'm smack dab in the middle of one of those days -

Will somebody please just shoot me in the head and put me out of my misery already . . . .

Having a better day?

Yes Thanks I'm Good.

A bit of a downer day yesterday - but it's all relative and I really shouldn't be such a winer :C)

I got out yesterday morning to see if I could get into a few smb on the new fly rod. Didn't go well - at all.

In fact I got the first skunk job of the year I'm not a fan. I botched the hook set on a couple of fish that were willing and snapped off a real mutant ( 6lb tippet).

Then I scurried off the water ahead of a thunderhead that was heading my way rapidly.

To finish of the trip, when I beached the Old Town - as I was getting out of the canoe at the gravel boat ramp - some one had Power loaded a nice hole (more like a cavern - and proceeded to step into crotch deep water. I was expecting ankle deep so the knee high boots were of no help there. I stumbled a bit, dropped some gear in the lake and I sure there were a few choice obscenities uttered - I was a little ticked off.

There was no one around to see these follies but I bet It looked very comical -

Just not to me.

Wow, sorry about your day. That old adage about a bad day of fishing beats a good day at work really doesn't apply to your outing. Keep your chin up Bud!

Bro, That's not a bad day, it's a fricking hilarious day. Atleast to us, anyway :respect-059:

Had one of those days last Wednesady. Weather looked good from the forecast the night before. Of course the weather guesser was wrong and a strong front blew through and left us with bluebird skies and tough conditions all day. Tried to go to a ramp I hadn't been to in a couple years, spent an extra 20 minutes of precious predawn time finding it. Had gotten up late so I didn't have time to tie anything on or spool up one of my main reels that needed it. Finally tied up I got into fish fast and furious until I mysteriously lost my chatterbait. Got the blade, snap, and undamaged split ring back but the body of the bait was gone :Idontknow: Water was down 7 feet so a lot of my normal spots were high and dry. Bite stopped almost completely when the sun got up. Struggled all day, 12 hours of fishing to put 20 squeakers in the boat, not a single one over 15". Bilge pump quite working, broke off my back transducer on a stump, broke a good bite off one a hookset, couldn't hook a fish to save my life when I did get a bite. Just one of those days I should have gone catfishing instead, at least it's less work if I don't catch something then :eyebrows: :eyebrows:

Both good and bad days come and go, take them all in stride and just move on. If something happens out of my control, nothing I can do about it anyway, like the weather, we get a lot of lighting here that just kills the day.
