Super User Marty Posted September 4, 2012 Super User Posted September 4, 2012 Probably best to do some reading and the beginner's section here might be a good place to start. http://www.bassresource.com/how-to-fish/ I'm in Rochester too and have spent countless hours fishing the canal, but not recently. grampa1114 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Marty's right...get some knowledge behind you and then just go fishing. We can all give you opinions on what to throw and where but in your first year...get comfortable with the hobby..start learning and practicing...see what styles that you like. There is a big difference between throwing a crankbait all day and bouncing a worm. Remember to have fun doing it. Grampa Quote
