hi everyone im joe being new to fishing ive had some questions and ive been reading some posts so i figured id join the forum i started fishing about 2 months ago when i moved to marylands eastern shore from baltimore since i moved to the country and there was some water that wasnt completly polluted i decided to take up fishing so my little brother set me up with some of his extra tackle and a rod im located near the choptank and tuckahoe rivers but ive only been fishing lake tuckahoe because its right up the road from my house and i only have a non tidal liscence been expierimenting with different fishing methods like crankbaits and spinnerbaits but so far ive had the most success with plastic worms (senkos) fishing from the shore is fun and all but i really wish i had a boat anyway, this is my first post and i just wanted to say hi

Welcome aboard, Joe. A lot (perhaps all) of us started bank or dock fishing! When you have the time and money, consider a simple kayak or canoe as your first boat. You'll love it.

thanks everyone. darren- kayak sounds cool. theres some really weedy areas further out on my lake with lots of stumps and sunken logs. seems like a kayak would be good for getting up in there. daddyodo- love your picture. rodney dangerfield is awesome and caddyshack is a great movie.
