airborne_angler Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Made by Bass Assassin baits. Looks sorta like a Zoom Brush hog(creature style bait) http://www.fisherbagstore.it/images/Esche_Creatures_Craws/FBS-ASSHOGG.jpg Anyone ever use these with success, whats a good presentation and color? Ive used Zoom Baby Brush Hogs with success, may want to try these depending on the feedback. Oh by the way Bass Assassin is having a Bulk Blowout sale on these baits. $.99 for a 70 ct bag of your choice of Sour Grape,Red Bug or Black Emerald. They also have Black Red Glitter 70ct bag for $2.99 I just purchased a bag of 70 ct of Sour Grape,Red Bug and Black Emerald. Total came out to $10.97 with shipping. Boy I hope the feedback on these is good. Quote

RAMBLER Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I just got my order. 440 pieces for $25.08 including shipping and state tax. 300 Fry Assassin and 140 Hogg Assassins. Really great service. Ordered them on the 3rd and they came, today, 8th. Good looking product. Got one bag of 70 Hogg Assassins for .99. They put in a laminated poster of suggested rigging (price on poster is $2.95) and a good catalog. Can you tell, I'm impressed. Guess who will get my business from now on. Although it will be a long time 'til I need some more of these. Quote
airborne_angler Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 Still waiting on mine. UPS says they should be here on the 11th. I ordered them on the 3rd. The Hogg Assassins were a deal I couldnt pass up. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted February 9, 2010 Super User Posted February 9, 2010 Thanks for the link. Like airborne_angler said, thats a deal you couldn't pass up on. I grabbed one of each of the 70 ct bags along with a 50 bag of 9" pumpkinseed lizards. Quote
A-Rob Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 haven't used them, but brush hogs work, don't know why this wont, looks pretty nice to me! Quote

Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted February 11, 2010 Super User Posted February 11, 2010 My box is supposed to get delivered sometime today. I'm just sitting here impatiently waiting.... Quote
airborne_angler Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 Got my order today. I guess the shape of the bait doesnt matter as they crammed all 70 baits of each color I ordered into a ziploc bag.Im used to my baits being uniform in shape. These are all kind of kinked, curled and whatnot after being mushed together. They may gain their shape back once I use them. Is that a complaint? Not necessarily. Perhaps it will give the bait a more natural look. I did notice that these are supposed to be Garlic impregnated. On one of the three bags I ordered, they mustve forgotten the Garlic, cause it smells just like plain old plastic. Nothing a little JJ's cant fix. Im happy. I just hope I can get the fish to bite these, cause I now have 210 of these things. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted February 11, 2010 Super User Posted February 11, 2010 Got my order as well. Like airborne_angler said, ziploc bags for all of them. Got a nice little rigging poster and all kinds of other material in the box. 4 70 packs of the Hoggs. 2 50 packs of lizards. I wasn't overly impressed with how the hogg worked in the water, a brush hog has WAY more action. Mind you that may have been because I was using a 4/0 hook in it (didn't want to re-tie), and I dipped it in a little spike-it which may have reacted a bit with the plastic (JJ's should be here tomorrow). That being said, I did land a few fish on it in the half an hour or so that I used it. They are made from a nice soft plastic, cast well. Time will tell on them. At least they were cheap. Quote
s13john Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 just got 4 of each of the hogs and 1 pack of curl tail shad and some 9 in lee-zards. thanks alot guys what am i gunna do with 710 pcs of plastic... o well 2ct a pop Quote
rebeav Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Professional buyer that I am has managed to spend 22 dollars plus s & h. Worst comes to worst they can be melted or donated. Actually like their worms and jerks. I am wondering about the charm assassin I assume they are "trick worms". Quote
