I tend to fish with variety of brands in both rods and reels and figured its time to do some reviews, especially since i have asked many others to do the same for me.

Lew's Tournament Pro: great looking reel and super smooth. been using it for about 1 yr now and am very happy with the purchase especailly since i got it for 25% off. it cast's both heavy and light lures very well. when fighting a fish it does its job but doesnt feel as ruggard or strong as the revo stx or curado. Very easy reel to palm and fish with all day. the only thing i didnt like is when the drag gets pulled you can definitely feel that it is not as smooth as other reels in its price range. and this one may sound strange but it is knida hard to explain. when retrieving your lure the this reel is so smooth you kinda lose the feeling of the bait (i know that sounds odd but i dont know how else to explain it. Also for some reason this reel took a tad longer to dial in. but overall a very good reel.

Revo STX: i have two of these and they have been fished extremely hard for 2 yrs. These are great dependable reels, awesome drag and they cast very well. What i really like about this reel is the overwhelming power when fighting a good fish, especailly when you tighten down on the drag. very powerful reel. a tad heavier then my others but if an extra 2.5 ounces is going to fatigue you then please just stay indoors and continue playing your video games. a negative for this reel is the finish. you will definitely get some blemishes on it over time but if you are careful and take care of your stuff you will be fine. also it is pretty simple to dial in, not sure why people have trouble getting these reels dialed in.

Curado g6 200: i kept hearing about these reels not being that good and i must say for the price this reel is very good. it fishes and holds its own to all the other reels i fish. cast well and very easy to dial in. not as smooth on the cast or retrieve as the others but i kinda like feeling the gears working. cast just as well as my others and is a tad heavier then the lews. also very easy to palm and comfortable to fish. again not sure why people have badmouthed this reel, overall it is not bad especially if your tight on money. but for me i would save the xtra $40-50 bucks and get the stx or a chronarch, but if your capped at $150-$160 then this is a great reel for you.

Stradic 2500fj: good looking reel, very solid and powerful and cast well. however the rod it went on (falcon Cara) did not balance well at all. This reel compared to the stradic ci4 or a pflueguer supreme xt is extremely heavy. i actually returned this and got another supreme xt (black and gold one).

Supreme XT (black and gold 2011model): absolutely my favorite spinning reel. i have two models the 30 and 25 and prefer the 25 for overall useage. this reel is extremely light, very tough, cast great and have no complaints. for $150 these reel out preformed numerous reels in its price range and a couple around the $200 dollar mark. cant say enough good things about it.

Currently just purchased a Revo Premier and will do a review after some usage.

I was looking at the XT today, and that thing is like butter, I think it will be my next purchase.

Believe it or not, I understand the losing the feeling of your bait due to reel slickness. I've felt that before also. I used to think that was awesome to have a reel that slick but now I'm not so sure. I'd rather feel the bait's vibrations.

I saw a LEWS video of one of their new reels stating they put in less anit-reverse to get better feel.

Found it.

That's a different model they now offer, the BB-1. The other one the OP mentioned does have infinite anti reverse.

Oh boy, we've opened up another entire subject for us fanatic fishermen to focus on now, sensitivity in reels with and without AR bearings, and for that matter, handle bearings as well. I actually could see a better connection with the bait through as little bearings as possible. More metal to metal contact that way. More surface areas internally making contact, providing better sensitivity. Faster wear though.

I guess that's why I like my Original Lew's Speed Spools!! I bought 2 of them New Old Stock, and the third in excellent condition.

Very smooth and I DO feel connected to the bait better.....especially crankbaits.

Just bought several new reels: Curado 200E5, Curado 100D, Daiwa SOL (incoming) but I will ALWAYS have one Original Lews in the boat.....probably with a custom square billed medium running crankbait on it: color.....Taco Salad!!
