Best Braid Under $25?

As the title ask's. Which one is good for frogging pretty heavy vegitation?

Power Pro is all I use. I would recommend 50lbs or bigger depending on the area being fished.

I myself like Suffix 832. Its smoother that standard Power Pro and makes less noise comming throught the guides. They are both around the same cost.

Daiwa Samurai is all you need. Retail is around $27.50/ 150 yards, and I buy during sales or from ebay. You can get a spool of 55 lb test for $22.50 shipped from Ebay right now...

I have only used Power Pro and P-Line and I really like Power Pro but hate the P-Line.

I've come to the realization that questions like this (what brand line should I get) are akin to the "Chevy vs. Ford" debate, or even the "PC vs. Mac" debate, though perhaps not as heated. Qualities of a particular brand that one person hates, another person either loves or doesn't notice. That same person may love Brand X, but 3 other people hate it for reasons that the guys who love it never experience. All these hypothetical people (members of this forum, for example) are ALL quality, knowledgeable fishermen. What sucks about this is that most people can't rightly afford to "try out" multple brands/sizes of braid due to it's high price tag.

This is strictly my opinion as someone who is searching for just the right line to waste my money on, and as someone who is confused as all get out about which one to get.

Get Daiwa Samurai off eBay. I've had the chance to try power pro, suffix832, and Daiwa Samurai. Samurai went through the guides smoother and was easier for me to manage. I am sure you would be fine with either of the three I listed, but if I had to choose the best for under $25 that would be my choice.

X2 on the Power Pro... this stuff is like aircraft cable in 30lb, and is only 8lb mono diameter, and only goes for about $13 at walmart..... it has ZERO elasticity though...

I use Fireline Tracer Braid, but Power Pro Suffix Samurai are all good braids, I use 30 or 40lbs test, plenty heavy and will saw thru the weeds better than heavier lines.

I use Power Pro 30# on my baitcast gear, and Power Pro 20# on spinning gear. I fish some really heavy vegetation, and I have never had this line fail.

My oldest braid still on a rod is 40# Sufix Performance. I have Sufix 832, Samurai and Fireline on rods as well. The Berkley was extremely dirty putting it on. However I have straightened jig hooks with the 30#. Used PP whenever I visited Florida until last year when I started taking my own reels down and purchased a couple rods to leave there. Have had absolutely no problem with any of these brands. I like the Samurai and Sufix the best, but that is just personal preference.

Power Pro and Suffix are great lines. I personally use 65# Spiderwire Stealth due to the strength and diameter #'s for my frog rod.

I just spooled a new reel with 30# 832 last light. Fished it this morning along side 2 different set ups using #50. Kinda windy this morning. My 30# didn't catch near as much wind as my 50# did. I love the smaller pound.

I only use braid on 1 set up and that is for frogging/heavy veggie. It's not as quiet as 832 which my buddy uses, but it cuts through grass nicely and gets the job done. Did I mention, it's not that expensive either.

Power pro! Go with at least 50 pound for frogging, and if you have lots of hawgs and very thick cover, step up to 65 pound.

I use 65 lb Power pro for all frogging and flipping. I don't like suffix 832 because its too smooth to me, but others prefer it for that same quality.
