What hooks do you guys use for 10" + inch worms? I was thinking of the Gammy Monster EWG. Thanks!

I use those very same Gammy's in 6/0 and they work just fine when using them on 10" worms.

I even use a 5/0 sometimes, it all depends on how Thick the worm is..lenght has nada to do with it.

I may have to pick up some of those hooks.  I fish a lot of large worms (10"-12").  I'll use a twist lock 5/0, or a ewg 5/0 gammy threaded way down through the worm body.

I select hook size based on worm thickness not length; if I can I prefer straight shank hooks for all plastics, if not round bend offset like Strike King's Saber Point.

a 5/0 will work.

I find (nothing new here) that they pick it up by the head and the hook will be in its mouth, it doesn't matter too much b/w the 5/0 and 6/0 in my opinion.

I use 5/0 Gamakatsu EWG's with 10" worms and have yet to have a problem. I hope I'm not missing out on something.

Those Kut tails in those sizes really do look nice.  I've gotta try out that spoon jig head one of these days.

This past weekend, on "Getting Schooled With J.P. Derose" (I think that's how he spells his name?), he interviewed the rep from Keitech.

Specific question was this one. Answer was that a standard gap, 5/0 worm hook is what they use in their 10" ribbon tails.
