I was geared up and good to go today. I was also excited to deliver a great fishing report tonight. Unfortunately Issac has different plans. We have been put on hurricane watch down here in South FL. High winds and an aluminum boat do not go well so i decided to cancel our trip and try again next weekend. Hopefully, this system does not dump too much water in the area because the bass in the glades will venture out of the canals and into the flats for a while. Hope the rest you of you guys around the country do well this weekend.

I saw the east coast was getting hit with rain from the outer bands last night already?? Today would be a good day for us to be out and I considered it, but the conditions on Lake O would probably be to rough for my little boat to handle on the main lake.

I was gonna head out as well but thought better of it after looking at the radar......... The water is already up and we're expecting 10".....

Over the last few days I've seen the water get really high in the canals and ponds and the storm has gotten here yet.

This morning (Sunday) I went to the inlet for some tarpon fishing, first time I have ever seen the park gated and closed. I stopped by a spot in the ICW to cast for some snook, the water level is as high as I have seen and this was the outgoing tide, the tide was actually being pushed back by the wind. If this storm hits at high tide we are going to have a problem.

It's a bit calmer inland where I live, 8 miles from the ocean, heading out now to bass fish but it's going to rain on and off all day.

X2!!! I had to cancel my Lake Osborne/Ida trip today.. oh well. I might try to do a lil shoreline fishing later. Until than I will just watch fishing shows. FLW is on now and BASS has live weigh-ins on the web at 4pm.

I happen to have access to a nice pond on my work's property, so if Tuesday morning school is cancelled I'm going to fish tomorrow night after I get off. Bank fishing should be safe enough, lol.

Is it even possible to catch bass right before weather like this? Or should I just go home and sleep?

The fish in my avatar was picked up a day or so before beryl came through. There is a Jacksonville thread where me and jaxbasser posted some nice fish during the pouring rain of Debbie. The pond he was fishing was spilling out into the road. After that the bite was dead for two weeks.

Watch for the pressure drop.
