QUIENYO Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Those are some nice looking striped bass. What is your swim-bait set-up? Looks like a Dobyns 795, what reel and line? I love the moxie of the little LMB that hit bait that is as big as they are. Quote
elhoward622 Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 Dobyns 795, Curado 301e, 25lb Trip Fish Camo line, Quote
Bassego Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Awsome fish! Looks like you have having a lot of luck in august. Love the bull shad too, the action in the water is incredible! Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Right on man!! We fish for stripers with the kayaks here in RI but we are inshore, salt water. We fish a reef that gets lots of crashing wave action on it, it'll pick up a 30' boat and drop it on the rocks in a blink but the fish are THERE. What we came up with is we launch on the beach off to the right and paddle out in front and both drop an eel (30ish ft) Whoever hooks up first, the other guy gets to him and clips the leash onto his stern and proceeds to keep the angler off the rocks. Whoever gets the second hit, it goes to the other guy and you just keep taking turns. GREAT times, HEADS UP fishin'. Keep on paddlin' man, Catch 'em up!! Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted August 25, 2012 Super User Posted August 25, 2012 Nice stripers mn The swimbaits are basically as big as the LM they obviously dont mind some indigestion Quote
