Super User LgMouthGambler Posted August 23, 2012 Super User Posted August 23, 2012 I like the fluoro, just because it sinks better. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 24, 2012 Global Moderator Posted August 24, 2012 I like DAM Techtan line, have yet to find a thinner, stronger line for ultralight applications. Hard to find though and pretty much any limp mono will work. Quote

Where would be the best place to buy some to try? Without going to Evil Bay. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 25, 2012 Global Moderator Posted August 25, 2012 http://www.fishusa.com/DAM-Tectan-Premium-Plus-Monofilament_p.html I use the 3.1lb test for my ultralight rig. It's extremely thin and easy to fish but it does break very close to it's rated strength. I've landed catfish and carp over 10lbs on it though. Quote
Super User OkobojiEagle Posted August 25, 2012 Super User Posted August 25, 2012 4lb test lines offer too little margin for error in both manufacturing and fishing. oe Quote
