not sure if this is right spot to put this or not i could not find a thread for hook removers etc.

i just got this from dicks sporting goods after hearign how nice and easy these were. got a few fish yesterday and today and ended up goign old school and usign my fingers to remove hooks. i cant get this thing to work, and i hear its so easy. pull and twist is what instructions say i grab the hookpull up and twist and nothing happens dont release hook or anything and if i under stood correct as soon as you pull and turn a little hook is supposed to fall right out. am i doing something wrong does it matter if the barb is still on? when i twist after pulling it really does nothing but scratch up the paint on hook. before i return this and get my money back i want to see if its something else im missing or not doing right.

i Have one and love it, but I began removing my barbs five years ago and never looked back. With no barb it is is simple to lock onto the hook and back it out. With no barb you have to keep the pressure on all the way to the boat, but I do not lose bass. With the Baker, I have removed countless deep hooks very quickly without injury (or bleeding) to the fish. What a great way to fish.
