Super User new2BC4bass Posted August 24, 2012 Super User Posted August 24, 2012 Actually, I just received my combo within the last week: Casting: Rod: Dobyns Champion Extreme DX702C Finesse 7ft. Reel: Shimano Curado 100D Line: Izonline 12# Can't believe how great this combo is!! Very nice combo! Congrats. I would like to know how you make out with the Izorline, and which line it is. I tried some 15# on my daughter's Chronarch 101A. Forget which type, but it was too stiff so I spooled some Neon Tangerine 14# Seige on it and she is happy with this line. Quote

Been trying izorline XXX co poly all season, 6lb on a spinning set up, and 8lb on a finesse BC....it's durable and still very managable line for how cheap it is. I still prefer ZY hybrid however. Staying on topic however...one combo? I like my spinning setups...this one in particular: Dobyns Champion 703 SF Shimano Sustain FG 2500 Yo-Zuri hybrid 6# (green) Quote

It's the Izorline Platinum series. Says Copolymer monofilament. Only reason I bought it was because Brian of Brian's B's recommended it with his custom crankbaits. So, when I ordered the crankbaits, I ordered the line. As I recall, it was pretty cheap, also Haven't fished it enough to tell much however. It casts well and has little memory. I've got some Sufix 10lb Siege on the other Curado. I like it. But, strangely I can't see the line at all in the water.....makes it hard to watch for line movement. Great casting however. Quote
