Now I know there are alot of articles on this site recommending the right rod , line and reel , but I would like to know you guys personel setup.

My spinnerbait rod is an Abu Garcia 7ft mh with a fast action tip , paired up with a lews speed spool with 20# vicious fluorocarbon.

So what's your spinnerbait setup ?

As of right now I use an abu garcia black max rod and reel in 6'6" M action. I like the shorter rod for them as I can place the spinnerbait right where I want it. I might step it up to a 6'9" veritas rod really soon though.

I am using a St. Croix Mojo MH/Mod and it seems to be working well. I may purchase a Mojo MH/F though in the future.

If I'm target fishing (docks, stumps, etc.) I use a 6'6" MH paired to a 6.3:1 reel. If I'm slow rolling deep structure/cover, it's a 7'6" split grip in MH with the same reel The only other difference is the line. 15lb. Stren High Impact on the first set-up and 30lb. SpiderWiire Stealth on the second. BTW, I fish from a boat and that impacts my choice a lot. If you're a shore fisherman, chances are you're looking for distance and a longer rod makes a big difference.

BPS PQ 7.1 with 12 lbs Yo Zuri Hybrid on a 7 MH/F BPS Graphite rod. I prefer a 6'6" but I broke the tip off my Clarus so until I feel like buying another rod, this one works fine.

I have several rod/reels that I throw a spinnerbait on.

For general use and burning, a LTBC70MF and Zillion 7.1:1. Close target, sniper style an AVC62MXF and Alphas. General use, and probably my favorite, AVC68MXF and Alphas. For really heavy baits or deep stroking, an AVC70MHF and TD-X. Line is generally 10-15 lb. P-Line CXX.

Same as Francho's first rod, the Teaser.

Using a STX-L though w/ 12lb fluoro or YZ

6'6" MH/F Shimano Compre (full cork handle model) with a Curado E7 and 14 pound Trilene Sensations line. This rod is primarily my jig and plastics rod but it works well for spinnerbaits also.

Shimano Chronarch 101D7

10-12# Yo-Zuri Hybrid Clear

Just bought the rod for a dedicated SB combo we'll see how it goes. I fish mostly open water and heavy grass, should be great for casting and covering a lot of water, and pulling through grass, plus deep running heavier SBs on ledges, etc.

Dobyns Champ 733C

Zillion 6.3:1

P-line CXX 12#

I usually throw 3/8oz and 1/2oz spinnerbaits in relatively open water and find this setup to be just about perfect.

I will use my 7' M power, fast action St Croix LTB with a Curado 51E for 3/16-1/4 oz baits, and my 7' MH/fast LTB, also with a curado 51E for 3/8's-3/4 oz baits.
