Guest avid Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I think every basser who uses hard baits has at least a few ratltraps or other brands of lipless crankbaits. What is your ONE favorite color, mine is gold 1/2 oz bill lewis Quote

boondocks Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Firetiger is a big confidence color for my with all cranks. I don't know what it is it just catches me fish. Then again I fish a lot of stained water lakes. Just about all the firetiger cranks in my tackle box a thoroughly chewed up. Quote

Other. Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I don't remember what the color was but my second favorite is 1/2 Chrome black back. Quote
justfishin Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 My most productive seems to have been the chrome/blue back for some reason. I also like the red chrome, bone and chrome/chartreuse back. I have used most of the different company's lipless baits and use a Cordell Spot at times but, it is hard to beat the original Rattle Trap. One thing I do when I buy these baits is replace the hooks with no. 4 Excalibers. Quote
Infidel. Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 1/2oz Rattle Trap in Smokey Joe 1/4oz Rattle Trap in Baby Bass Quote
Super User RoLo Posted March 3, 2007 Super User Posted March 3, 2007 Chartreuse Crawdad (1/2 oz Bill Lewis) Roger Quote
bugman Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Rat-L-Trap chrome/blue & Smokey Joe I have had problems with the chrome flaking off. My dad tells me that the bone white plactic under the chrome also is a good color. If he has a trap that the chrome is comming off he will scrape the rest off and fish it that way. Quote
Rattlinrogue Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 In addition to my favorite,Chrome/blue,red craw pattern and Tenn. shad are 2nd and 3rd ,respectively. Quote
