Firetiger is a big confidence color for my with all cranks. I don't know what it is it just catches me fish.

Then again I fish a lot of stained water lakes. Just about all the firetiger cranks in my tackle box a thoroughly chewed up.

My most productive seems to have been the chrome/blue back for some reason. I also like the red chrome, bone and chrome/chartreuse back. I have used most of the different company's lipless baits and use a Cordell Spot at times but, it is hard to beat the original Rattle Trap. One thing I do when I buy these baits is replace the hooks with no. 4 Excalibers.

Rat-L-Trap chrome/blue & Smokey Joe

I have had problems with the chrome flaking off. My dad tells me that the bone white plactic under the chrome also is a good color. If he has a trap that the chrome is comming off he will scrape the rest off and fish it that way.
