Doubled Over Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Just a quick question, why do companies worry about the color of the top of topwater frogs when they are designing them? It isn't like the fish is going to see it, so why waste the money on paint for it? I may be missing something here, but it doesn't make sense to me. Quote

Super User J Francho Posted August 21, 2012 Super User Posted August 21, 2012 I like to use a frog with a lot of contrast so I can tell if it disappeared or not. Quote
5dollarsplash Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I worry about belly color, light green, yellow, white, black. Those are what I've been using with the light green producing best. I need to use the white a bit more to decide if it's as effective. Quote
Doubled Over Posted August 21, 2012 Author Posted August 21, 2012 I agree, belly color is what I worry about most too. Quote
bleedingshrimp Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 What..you mean why don't they just make the top solid colored and simple?....then how would they justify charging us $10 a pop? ;-) Quote

BASSHUNTER1961 Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 colors are designed to catch fisherman not fish This is your answer... I use white or black frogs and they work as good as any. Quote
basshole8190 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 belly color is whats important to me but even then white w/ orange in the belly or a darker color gets it done for me. i only own 4 frogs and i have caught just as many if not more on them as the guy in the next boat w/ 20+ frogs in different color. technique is whats important with them in my opinion 1 Quote
