Super User Nitrofreak Posted September 24, 2012 Super User Posted September 24, 2012 These are from the day after but I wanted to share them with you because they have my little baby girl in them. Traveler and I went out and my boat had my wife, my daughter and my daughters boyfriend on it, Traveler and I fished a couple of places and my daughter challanged us to a tourny. Traveler and I started fishing a hump in Contrary Creek, we struck first with a bass about a pound and a half he had caught off of a drop shot rig on top of the hump, me I just struck out, I do not have any pics with Traveler but we did have some fun fishing together, he later caught one in the back of Contrary Creek just a touch bigger roughly I would say about 2lbs, that one came off of a spinner bait. This is my little baby girl whoopin daddy's butt. I may have took an a## whippin but hey, all I can say to that is...Daddy luv's ya baby !!!! Quote

Traveler2586 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 OK guy's, I now have an album called 2012 Lake Anna Meet & Greet with photo's from the event. I had a great time, but it was too short, and I didn't get a chance to meet and chat with everyone like I would have liked to. This was my second event like this with the club and I like the opportunity to meet members face-to-face, I'm really looking forward to the 2013 Road Trip at Lake Pickwick, and the next Va Meet & Greet. EDIT: I also posted the same photos on my FaceBook page (http://www.facebook.com/emmagruder) for my non-club member friends to see what they missed Quote

Zoff Posted September 25, 2012 Author Posted September 25, 2012 I had tons of fun meeting you guys and fishing with zoff was awesome. I greatly appreciate all the guys who set this up and the the boaters who made sure it could happen. Thanks, my friend. I'd fish with you anytime. And I usually don't talk much around people that I just met but I talked a decent amount with zoff on the boat Really!?!?!?! Seriously... I really enjoyed talking with you. I am suprised you get a word in edgewise LMAO !!!! Just kidding, just kidding, glad you enjoyed yourself !!!!!! You're a hoot! lol I do talk a bit less when fishing. Quote
Super User Nitrofreak Posted September 25, 2012 Super User Posted September 25, 2012 You're a hoot! lol I do talk a bit less when fishing. I look forward to finding that out sometime at one of your local lakes, I would prefer SML but as long as we are getting a line wet and we can down a few beers afterwards I really do not care buddy !!! Zoff, I really enjoyed having you over at the campsite chatting with the family Friday night, you are a lot of laughs yourself and a stand up kind of guy that I have a lot of respect for, although my posts may not reflect that, we have the same views and thoughts about a lot of things especially when we speak of family, we have had a lot of conversations in the past few weeks only to find out that we have a ton in common with one another. The job you have should key you in real quick as to whom you allow yourself to trust, even just a little, I do not take that lightly either or trust me, you would have never been allowed to meet my family. I look forward to our next adventure, either a fishing trip with the families or just a day on the lake, I also look forward to helping out with the next meet and greet, oh yes, there will be another one. Traveler2586 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Just posted some pic's in the Lake Anna Meet & Greet album. They're Google Earth GPS tracks of fishing with Steve & Aj, and Nitrofreak. These pic's are something I do as documentation for my fishing logs. Quote
Super User Nitrofreak Posted September 26, 2012 Super User Posted September 26, 2012 Nice job Traveler !!! Can you explain the ststem you have to do that stuff, I am way interested !!! Quote
Traveler2586 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Nice job Traveler !!! Can you explain the system you have to do that stuff, I am way interested !!! Nitro, I use a Garmin GPSmap 76CSx, which is out of date by now, but any good personal gps would do the same. Garmin were standard issue at work and I carried one faithfully when I traveled. They now have a marine personal gps that looks good, http://www.thegpssto...-GPS-P2386.aspx I believe the newer boat electronics can also save tracks as well; there, you move the units memory chip to your computer to download the tracks. But basically you save your fishing/boating tracks on the personal GPS in small "trips"; you then download the tracks from the GPS to your home computer; then you import them into Google Earth and they show up as you see them in the pic's; then you can save a Google Earth screen shot as a *.jpg photo on your computer; next, print the pic's and place them into a plastic photo holder that you can take with you on the boat (I use 5X7); you can put a 5X7 index card in the holder with fishing log data to go with the pic. PotomacBassin Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Wish I would have seen these posts sooner. I've been dying to try out Lake Anna. I'm in Woodbridge so it's not too far of a hike. I'm a boater, 19 foot Bass tracker with 115. Maybe next year I guess. Quote
