fstr385 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I found a hidden lake behind a jobsite I work at in pines Im going to try and get into Saturday. Ill let ya know how it goes. Ive yet to get a peacocks and would like to begin there as Im from Margate up North and try to avoid going to Miami whenever possible. Anyone know of any clubs near this area or anything South of Okeechobee? Quote
fstr385 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 today in SW pines... biggest just a c-hair under 4lbs Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 Beautiful fish. From the little that I saw, it looks like a nice little boat for those types of lakes. Quote
aceofspades Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Check out Real Deal Adventures on Facebook. He's a shore based guide and he is the king of peacock's in Pembroke Pines, Weston, Davie, Miramar area. Quote
fstr385 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Thanks. I dont know much about peacocks, but from what I could tell they love ledges. Cought burning a white/chart spinner. Sucker broke one off the willow blades off and bent it into the straight line! The boat is nice for the canals and lakes aroud my house or throwin in the truck for places like this, but Id like to get a slightly bigger one. Its perfect for 1 person and ok for 2. Its a 10` tracker with a 45lb/3.5hp 4 stroke. For holiday, loxahatchee, and esp okeechobee type places its not so ideal. Quote
aceofspades Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Just looked, and it is called Reel Deal Adventures, not Real Deal. I booked a trip with him at the end of the month. I will post a report after. Quote
jonnysmith Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 i had a 12foot jonboat with a 5hp outboard and a trolling motor,it was awesome for lakes n canals with no boat ramps, just dump it over the side of any canal and i was fishing.. Quote
Diggy Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Ive seen some in the park on Sheridan and 172nd in Pines If you want to go down to Miami for loads of them, contact my buddy Hai aka urban angler miami He will put you onto them also if you want some action down south here is one of many caught that day 1 Quote
fstr385 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I just noticed that lake west of that park yesterday! Is there a way to get a small boat in? I seen a fence all the way around up to the tennis courts. That looks like a nice lake to fish! Quote
mg4u2nv Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 fstr, you can dump a small john boat in at the park of that lake. I live not too far from there and have fished it only from shore. For the most part the water is always crystal clear. Its a very big lake with a little bit of everything. Deep water, pads, grass, docks, and a couple of islands as well. There are a few canals not too far from there that i've found to be more productive, water is more stained and fish don't seem to be as skittish as they are in clearer water. Good luck to ya!
