Shimano Sellus Rod Chart

Is there a chart that shows what length and power of rod are tech specific?

I know the 7'6" is the flipping stick, but I am curious to know the others.

I am slowly upgrading all my rods and have decided on the Sellus due to reviews and them being tech specific. Splt grip, love the color and the price is perfect. Ive checked on their site as well as TW's and they dont say.

I had seen that posted before and made note when looking at the in Bass Pro. Everything seemed inline to me there

If there is a chart, its probably tatted on LMG's Calf. You may have to do some cutting and pasting from various sites otherwise

I have the 6'9 med spinning great rod. Just wish the quality at my 2!!! Local dsg's was better for the casting models

I was waiting for a LMG plug in this thread!!

I wish the rest of the line of Sellis rods had the backbone as the flipping stick but what i can't find another line of rods that are tech specific for the price

Why does a rod company have to tell you what to use for a given technique? Use the rod you feel comfortable using. Of course, I like to know the power and action and line recommendations, but I'll decide what I use for jigs or worms or flukes, etc. I'm not trying to be negative just saying to fish with what you feel comfortable fishing.

I think it makes it alot easier for the casual fisheman to pick up a rod that says "spinnerbait rod" on it if they fish that or "worm and jig" if they are looking for a rod for that purpose. They obviously designed it to work in that manner. It may also simplify things for many people.

My first bait casting rod I bought was a 6ft6 medium based on the the tag attached to the rod saying it is a good all purpose rod to buy. Im sure I could use a crankbait rod for frogging not knowing any better or thinking it feels right but Im sure it would work better for whats the rod is listed for.

I do understand your point of view, but not everyone wants to go through the fuss or may be educated enough to know what taper and length is for what purpose. There are many companies that don't do this for you to choose from.
