BigMoneyGrip Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I just got a new Chronarch 201E5 (Thanks Tackle Trap) and mounted it to my Veritas 7' heavy, and man, talk about some casting! This thing will flat put a swimbait into orbit. I did clean the spool bearings, and used some Ardent oil on them. Really pleased and looking forward to using it more this fall, especially with this mid 80's temp in the middle of August. 1 Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted August 17, 2012 Super User Posted August 17, 2012 The best reels! Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 18, 2012 Super User Posted August 18, 2012 Chronarchs, no matter what series they belong to, are really very fine reels. Quote
Super User islandbass Posted August 18, 2012 Super User Posted August 18, 2012 That is great to hear. I am however, not a fan of its color scheme and as one who usually chooses function over looks/form, the irony gnaws at me like a beaver's teeth on a log. Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony... Quote
BigMoneyGrip Posted August 18, 2012 Author Posted August 18, 2012 islandbass, it does look good on the Veritas. However, I feel like I'm cheating the reel by putting it on that rod, but I love the rod. You can straighten hooks with it. Quote
Diggy Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 black white color scheme>>>green congrats on the enjoyization of the reel Quote

My Curado 50E on my Vendetta is hard to accept, but it feels soo good. I am getting a Chronarch 50E, and will be mounting it on a Veritas, and am going to feel guilty, but I dont care. Curado and Chronarch 200E's, and Citica E on Sellus rods, so I dont feel too bad. Quote
BASSHUNTER1961 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Hey, my Chronarch 201E7 is mounted on a 7'6" H Daiwa Jupiter, and I absolutely love it. I've been throwing lots of frogs and unweighted Senko's and it is mind blowing as to how great this combo handles. Quote

Super User new2BC4bass Posted August 24, 2012 Super User Posted August 24, 2012 I'm pretty sure I have an idea. I think LMG was making a snide remark for us Daiwa fans. Although I have more Daiwas than any other brand, it doesn't stop me from enjoying the others as well. That includes my Shimanos, Quote
