Super User roadwarrior Posted August 17, 2012 Super User Posted August 17, 2012 Let's face it, there are 32 teams and less than 10 guys that "belong" in the NFL. 22 teams have "filler" quarterbacks. These are my BEST: #1 Tom Brady #2 Aron Rogers #3 Drew Brees #4 Eli Manning #5 Peyton Manning Who do you think counts? Quote
hooah212002 Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 1: Jay Cutler 2: Jay Cutler 3: Jay Cutler 4: Jay Cutler 5: a tie between Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall 1 Quote
tipptruck1 Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I think your list is pretty good. I think the top three though are tuff. The top three in my books can be in any order. based in the last few years. I would have Rogers number one. Brees number two. Brady number three. I am not basing that on my support for the packers. Just what has happened in the last few years. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted August 17, 2012 Super User Posted August 17, 2012 1. Cam Newton 2. Drew Brees 3. Tom Brady 4. Carson Palmer (once he knocks the cobwebs off) 5. Eli manning Quote

As a Bills fan, and "hater" of the Pats, I 100% agree Brady is numero uno. However, I'm unconvinced of Rogers' pedigree. Can't put my finger on it, but I hear all the accolades thrown at him on ESPN, elsewhere, but I just don't see it myself. If Peyton has a phenomenal year, he's at #2, and I like Brees at 3. Can't wait to see how Luck and RG3 do. RG3 was fairly sound against my Bills last week. Newton is an enigma...a phenom, but an enigma. All IMHO... Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted August 17, 2012 Super User Posted August 17, 2012 For the most part a QB is going to be a good as his supporting cast. Being from Michigan and a U of M alum.........it's Brady and it's hard for me not to like Matthew Stafford. P. Manning is the closest thing to a "field general", one of the very few that could call his game. I see Manning and I see Johnny U. without the high tops, that said I think his best years are behind him. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted August 17, 2012 Super User Posted August 17, 2012 I'm a Pats fan - but until Mr Brady beats the QB from the NY Giants (I can't even say his name) in the Final Game of the year - It's hard for me to to put the New England QB at the top of this list. Really looking forward to this NFL Season ~ A-Jay 1 Quote

Super User MCS Posted August 17, 2012 Super User Posted August 17, 2012 I agree with Road Warriors list except number 5. Peyton missed an entire season, might have issues throwing a deep ball for that I would say he is top ten but not top 5. my number 5 is Phillip Rivers and 6 would be Cam Newton.....7 would be Joe Flacco(after he nabs a superbowl ring this year he will be top 5) then maybe Peyton Manning Quote

5dollarsplash Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 How is Aaron Rodgers not on your list, but Cam Newton and Carson Palmer made it? What this guys said. Wisconsin bias aside I don't know how you'd rate Newton and Palmer above him. Rodgers Brees Brady E. Manning Vick Quote
shootermcbob Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 If we are talking Strictly about RIGHT NOW (not past history)...it has to be Aaron Rogers. Look at his stats last year and of course the 15-1 record. If I had to win one game ...right now...Eli Manning. My list goes like this 1) Rogers 1A) Eli Manning 3) Brees 4)Brady 5) Peyton...if he is healthy...if not 5A) Stafford Really hard to watch Eli game after game after game just destroy my Cowboys. He reminds me...in the manner of late game comebacks,...of Joe Montana, 1 Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted August 17, 2012 Super User Posted August 17, 2012 How is Aaron Rodgers not on your list, but Cam Newton and Carson Palmer made it? Because Cam is a beast. There is no denying that he is. After last year the Kid blew up. Think of what he's gonna do this year. Carson Palmer. Im a Raiders fan. Just in case you hadn't noticed yet. Do you really think I would NOT list my teams qb? I mean come on now. No Rodgers. I just don't care for him. I don't know why that is. It's just something about him that rubs me wrong. Quote
Captain Obvious Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 If my boy Romo had 1 ring I'd put him on here but oh well 1. Brady 2. Drew Brees 3. Peyton Manning - I would have him at #2 but with missing a year loses a spot 4. Being a cowboys fans I'm not going put a name here but he plays for those N.Y. Midgets 5. Rogers 6. Romo Quote

That hurts Seriously, Eli is just fantastic. I really think he is the most unbeatable "big game" QB in the league right now. When the chips are down...he is money. 1 Quote

Jake P Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 As much as I hate to admit it, Eli has to be top 5. Not of all time obviously, but of right now. Not just for his superbowls, but what he did to get there. 15 4th quarter TD's is no joke. Reguardless if he is a mouth breather or has "dumbface", he is still a leader and pretty d**n good QB. Someone shoot me for hitting post please. 1 Quote
JoePhish Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I'm not putting him on this list but I think Matt Ryan takes a big step forward this year, at least statistically...for you fantasy guys. Quote

llPa1nll Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Surprised not one vote for Big Ben Roethlisberger. Brady Rodgers Eli Brees Rivers Is my list, I hope the Pats can get back to the SB and meet up with some team other than the giants. Quote
