TNBassin' Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I have a 2nd gen SX as well. I read all of the horror stories about back lashes, but I know how to set up my reel so no issues for me. It's a great reel, and I don't think the Gen 3 will be nearly as good. Quote

If I get a back lash, it's during the cast not the landing, so centrifugal would be the way to go for me. The new STX has the best of both worlds, and might be worth the extra $70. Quote
