I tend to use soft plastics (mostly worms). I shy away from crank baits and spinner baits. i only really fish one pond and its rather small. What baits do yall use and why do you like them?

berkley power worms, senkos, super spook jr. those have been the most productive for me right now. now if you're talking late fall, winter, and early spring disregard lol

any plastics will catch bass when they are aggressive; you should try getting into some of the cranks and spinners though; my personal best came on a spinnerbait and my second best came on a Bomber Square A crank; alot of times bass wont bite something unless you can get a reaction strike out of him and with a spinnerbait or crank if you come by him wide open then he will hit the bait without even wanting to cause he cant help it; then there you go you have a nice bass that may have not been caught for some time and alot of times they are heavy fish as well; good luck

Frogs are my favorite just from the excitement of the topwater strike. Im not however very productive with them. Most productive IKA/Senko

My favorite for getting bit is a trick worm, my best producer of big fish is a rattlesnake and my favorite to fish is a popper, love the pause then all the sudden a blowup!

Senkos - the real ones :-) - they just work better for me. Always spend $$ trying other brands that just can't compare. Darn expensive in their own right, but Yammies really work well, make the bass hold on tight.

Zoom Finesse worms - because these shimmy down like Senkos and catch me a lot of bass and other species when the bite is tough.

Cranks and spinnerbaits, mainly cuz I like to keep moving. Really like jerkbaits for much the same reason, I don't often do the long pause thing. Swimbaits are starting to grow on me too, from my limited experience there are several ways to impart different actions to them, and thats just fun.
