Me and my buddy were fishing texas rigged zoom trick worms the other evening. I felt a fish hit my worm and then suddenly, a bass jumped out of the water a good 3 ft in the air. At first I didn't believe that the fish in the air was the one that hit the worm. My flurocarbon line was still in the water. However as I set the hook an instant later, I found out that the fish in the air was the one who had my worm. As he splashed back down I reeled him in as I was simultaneously laughing my butt off. I had never seen any thing of the sort! I'd say the fish was about a pound.

Has this ever happened to any of you guys when you fish plastic worms?

I've had a fish jump but never before I set the hook it is always after when I am reeling it in

Sounds like that air jaws show I've been watching on discovery channel SHARK WEEK (best week of television)
