midnighthrasher Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I hear alot of people saying they use roboworm in aarons magic for dropshotting. What roboworm is that??? There are several models. Also if you have any other baits to suggest for dropshotting it would be helpfull. Thanks Quote
Hooked_On_Bass Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Hey midnighthrasher, You can drop shot with many different baits but, give these a shot: http://www.***.com/descpageSFWBERKLEY-BGM.html#pImage (I use the 3" most often) Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted February 4, 2010 Super User Posted February 4, 2010 The Roboworm I think you want is the Shakin Zipper in the Zipper Worm models. Here are my favorites drop shot baits. Four inch Strike King finesse worm in coppertreuse. They are indestructible. Cannot tear. I rig it this way. The point of the hook enters the bottom side of the body about a quarter inch from the nose. Then bring the point out through the nose. I want the chartreuse on the bottom, so the hook enters in the middle of the chartreuse band. Where the hook enters will be the bottom of the bait. The other baits are Yamamoto Flappin Hog, and 3 3/4 inch Crawdad, and the 4" Zoom lizard. For rigging these, the hook is inserted into the nose to a depth of about 3/4", then exited out the center of the top side. The possibilities are endless. The finesse worm and flappin hog have been the best producers. But, on days when they are nibbling at the tail of these baits, I switch to the smaller crawdad. On those days, it works best. Quote

soccplayer07 Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 this is my number one producing drop shot plastic http://www.***.com/descpageSFWROBO-RW45ST.html Quote
Super User Raul Posted February 4, 2010 Super User Posted February 4, 2010 Also if you have any other baits to suggest for dropshotting it would be helpfull. Thanks I drop shot with: Worms Grubs Craws Creatures Lizards Jerkbaits Tubes In practical terms, you can dropshot with anything you want, doesn 't have to be a worm or a particular brand/style/size bait. hmongkidBee Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 my favorite drop shot lure is the fish belly hawg shad sold at ***. It's very lifelike to me. That's what I use most of the time, and then I also use zoom flukes Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted February 4, 2010 Super User Posted February 4, 2010 Last year, Senko imitations were my most productive dropshot baits. Bass Pro Stickos, paddle tail sticko, Chompers, and Gulp sinking minnow. These are all thicker plastic baits that last longer than the softer Senkos. I'd use the Gulp bait all the time, except it dries out quick when you're not using it. Quote
Revo_Carrot Stix Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I use Berkley Gulp 3" Leech http://www.***.com/descpageSFWBERKLEY-BG3L.html#pImage and Strike King 4" 3X Elaztech Finess worms http://www.***.com/descpageSFTSTRIKE-SXFW.html I've fished both (close to the same color) at the same time (alternating) and the Berkley Gulp was getting hit twice as much. Sounds like a commercial, huh? As mentioned earlier, hook through the body and out the nose. Good luck! Quote
EastTexasBassin Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 My most productive drop shot bait for the past 6 months has been the ragetail baby craw. It has outproduced roboworms, trickworms, and senko style baits for me. Quote
SWMIBASSER Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 My absolute best drop shot worm was a "slim senko" that I bought in packs of 100 a couple years ago, on ebay. I wish I would have saved the seller. Those were killer. Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted February 5, 2010 Super User Posted February 5, 2010 I like Net Bait's finesse worm in Alabama craw and so do spotted bass. 8-) Quote
NorCalFishinguru Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Skinny Bear Shad Eye 2 http://www.***.com/descpageSOFTSKINNY-SBSET.html#pImage For the roboworms, aarons magic is a color offered in several different styles of their plastics Quote

A-Rob Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 I got a 4" tiki stick in bruised organge color Also, a 5" giggy stick by gambler I was thinking of using a 3" walleye grub for a smaller profile for smallmouth. It's simple but smallmouth usually don't mind a grub one bit. Quote
