Whats your favorite jig color. I have 2 I find my self throwing more then anything "rusty craw" from all terrain tackle for football jigs. This year as brief as its been I cant put down black and blue I threw it alot in the beginning of last year and became my favorite till maybe the last month or so when I threw the rusty craw in some gin clear water. there the only two colors I stock up on besides a few white but not many white jigs. Black and blue is quickly become my favorite and go to jig color.

I really like green-pumpkin and a touch of brown in my jigs, but I also like a lot of colors in the same jig.

This is what I've been fishing all spring and early summer (made by Dominic/ backwater4): green, brown, and a few red and a few yellow strands.

Got these a couple of days back, and they are my new favorites. Also made by backwater4: green, brown, and a little of red, yellow, black and blue.

Green pumpkin/black and black/purple, those have become my favorites, the greenpumpkin/black is my clear water jig and the black/purple is my stained or dirty water jig. I am still very fond of black/blue but for some reason most of my jig fish have come on black/purple. I will often fish a jig when I think they should work and if I'm getting taps or pick ups but no fish I'll switch out colors, and almost all of the time that works. 2 weeks ago we were out and it was hot, a T-storm rolled through the night before making the water muddy, well we noticed a new deadfall in the water so we started making short pitches to it. My first cast with a black/blue jig the thing hits bottom and instantly its a quick "tap tap" and when I went to tighten down there was nothing, my buddy was running square bill along the outer area so I was free to keep pitching jigs. I made another pitch and the smae thing so I tied on the black/purple and when it hit the water I got a single tap and the line got tight so I set the hook and out came a nice solid chunk about 17" and 2 pounds or so, and the rest of the day was a fish here and there and all off the black/purple jig.

Black and Blue, or Peanut better and jelly!

I haven't been fishing jigs long but those seem to be the best colors for me. Blue trailer on the black and blue and a green pumpkin on the pb+j.

It depends what color the crawfish are. I fish a lake where the craws are watermelon, blue and white. Jogs in that color produce. Another place I fish, they are watermelon, brownish-purple, and orange. Jigs in that color produce the most quality fish.

Generically, if I'm fishing dirty water, tried and true black and blue. Clearer water, green pumpkin/blue. Sometimes I'll throw a little black in the mix. Oh, and I only use solid color skirts. No "striped" tabs. Just personal preference.

Watermelon, watermelon candy, green pumpkin, pb&j, black and blue. That is all the colors i carry and fish them equally just depends on the body of water.
