Super User K_Mac Posted August 22, 2012 Super User Posted August 22, 2012 Girlfriends, but those days are over! Of all things collectible, women may be the costliest of the lot. One good one is plenty ...enjoy! Quote
I.rar Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 every time i get into collecting something , i end up loosing interest. for a while , my thing was car audio. i had head units , amplifiers , subwoofers , tons of wire etc. it seemed every other month i had a different set up. finally i kept the system that was installed in my fiances car and got rid of everything else. kind of regret selling some of the one of a kind subs i had but oh well. then i got into collecting rapala lures. then only shad rap 5's. then only purpledecent rapalas. i still have a few. i do work at a shop where we sell collectible action figures , movie props, life sized statues and similar items. its crazy to see people drop hundreds or thousands of dollars on something someone else would say 'why?' to. i guess thats what collecting is all about. Low_Budget_Hooker Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 funny SQ, I remember shooting the breeze about car audio with you a few years back and here I am getting ready to do my 4runner after 2 yrs of no bumpin. I'm curious to see what has become of the car audio scene, the gear in particular. I'll probably stick with the tried and true w7's for the low end tho. Quote
I.rar Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 lol, i remember. you can always check out the caraudio .com forum or the sound solutions audio forum. i have nothing against JL audio but for the price they want for those w7's id rather spend on something else. one of the subs i really regret getting rid of is the incriminator audio lethal injections. excellent subs for under $200. i had to go through my photobucket and youtube account and dig up some old vids... language warning... fi audio Q series 15" in 3.8cuft @ 30 hz off 1kw. lethal injection 12" in 2.25? cuft @ 32 hz off 400wrms http://s95.photobuck...rent=0001-1.mp4 i have a few pics of subs and such too...man, i miss it. this was another set up i had. 2x TC sounds TC-1000 8"s off 1kw. i had them in 1.8 @32 hz, iirc. the sub on the left was a very limited run by TC sounds. it was their OEM 10 with a fiber honeycomb cone that people went nuts over. too bad the company split. theyre now under the name Audiopulse and raised prices. partsexpress carries them.
