i got some in a lot i bought from someone here. I tried rigging it tail up, with a red gammy 4/0 superline ewg. It drops really slow. i did it close to me to observe the action and it seemed like the tail did nothing or very little. I bet it was a fault on my end. I also want to know after the fall how do I fish it? how much time it rests if I have to let it rest. How effective it is?

Also how should I fish the Anaconda? in the instructions in the package it does says texas rigged but I dont know how to present it. It doesnt say hook size either. the biggest i have is a Gammy 4/0 offset hook ewg. Thats exactly what I used.

To the masters like Big O: how little a fish does the anaconda catches? It is a LONG worm for sure.

Rigging the Rage Shad: http://www.strikeking.com/tips/rigging-the-rage-tail-shad.php

The 7" Anaconda can be rigged every way you can thing of! T-rigged, C-rigged, dropshot,

JIKA, split shot or even weightless. I like a #2/0 EWG Gamakatsu Offset Worm Hook.

I fish the 10" Anaconda and Thumper C-rigged with a 6/0 Stroker from Moaner Hooks.

Rig it as the link that RW noted, then cast it and reel it and a medium to quick retrieve speed. It will work fine in any slop and is the most aggressive soft plastic buzz style bait ever. When you get bit, don't swing immediately... reel up the slack quickly until you feel the fish and swing on'em. Important to let the fish tell you the speed they're looking for and have fun ;)

Also how should I fish the Anaconda? in the instructions in the package it does says texas rigged but I dont know how to present it. It doesnt say hook size either. the biggest i have is a Gammy 4/0 offset hook ewg. Thats exactly what I used. RW is right again and 5 or 6/0 is my choice as well for the 10"... In Shallows or over scattered grass, the Rage Rig (swimbait hook) on the Annie with tail upright is another technique I like. I use the Moaner Hooks 6/0 Weighted Stroker on the 10" and 5/0 on the 7 inch.

To the masters like Big O: how little a fish does the anaconda catches? It is a LONG worm for sure. I've caught 8" fish on the 10" Anaconda but I've also caught many BEAST on it as well. Hope this helps!!!

Note the above in red... and here's a link to our website rigging info http://www.ragetail....ction/anaconda/

I think PRJavelin may have not known that Rage Shad is a topwater/surface bait? Am I correct?

I'm using a 5/0 with the Rage shad as well and sometimes I use a really really light weight superline hook without the screw in for the plastic. It just gives it a bit of weight so you can launch it a little further.

I've got nothing on the Anaconda, never fished it but I'd use a 5 or 6/0 weightless T-Rigged to start, then experiment from there.

EDIT--- HereThis is the kind of hook I like with my Rage Shad and Toad. 5/0 1/16th. Gives it just a little more oomf on the cast and its easier if there is any wind. Try it out.

For weightless on both those baits, I always use the 5/0 Moaner Stroker, and for a keel-weighted Anaconda (which is killer in the grass), I use the 6/0 weighted Stroker. Make sure you're separating the tail tab on that Shad.

I just started fishing the Anaconda just like I do any curly tail worm. Normally weightless on 4/0 or 5/0 hook T-Rig let it sink to bottom lift up, reel a couple times, rinse and repeat and I've found success. I have some of the Shad but have yet to put much effort into them. I plan to on my next outing.

Fish on the dead sea like the Rage Shad..... give it a go.
