coak Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Hey guys, I'm wondering why, when I throw my Buzzbaits parallel with the shore/bank they don't come straight back, but rather come in at an angle? I'm left handed and it's more so when I'm casting over my right shoulder and out to the left side of my position. I've tried to hold my rod out as far as possible since I'm on the bank, and instead of running parallel with the bank it's retrieving in at like a 45 degree angle? Can you play with the blades to make one run "true" like you can when adjusting a lip on a crank? I'm just getting frustrated with it time after time and though I'd ask. Thanks in advance, Coak Quote
Stouty Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I'm right handed and mine does the same thing. I still fish mine like it is I recently caught a 5 pounder on the same buzz bait in a small pond. I font think this affects the lure it's self besides the angle. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 5, 2012 Global Moderator Posted August 5, 2012 I prefer mine to run at an angle so I can fade it into objects and follow along weedlines. Doesn't hurt their effectiveness at all for me. Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted August 5, 2012 Super User Posted August 5, 2012 I've never seen a buzz bait that ran totally straight. Maybe one that had counter rotating blades. Maybe one of those buzz baits that have side by side blades. It could be me though, the only time I'll throw a buzz bait is when it is a little too weedy for a popper. Quote
