I'm looking for a bigger worm around 10" to fish weightless, t-rigged, and Carolina. I want a non ribbon tail. So far the 3 I am thinking about are Xcite Maximus, Yum MightEE Worm, and Zoom Magnum Trick. I like the colors available for the yum the best but in the limited reviews it sunk, and fell apart, they were average, think lot of the disappointment was from shakey head guy wanting a floater...The Xcite floats, which with a 6/0 hook is the any concern getting it down?....and the Mag Trick which limited colors and is the smallest but I love the regular trick worms.

Anyone have experience using any of these, any recommendations? what techniques were successful?

Any other brands I should checkout?

Thanks in advance.

the magnum trick worm is pretty big, but it is'nt 10" big. Gambler has some pretty giant straight tails and net baits c-mac is pretty big also.

Rage tail 10” Thumper. Not a ribbon tail and has just a nice flicker. You can take the tail off if you want too. My 10” go to for sure.

The mag trick worm is a pretty good bait that would work for what you're wanting to do with it. I've never fished either of the other two but I have some hand poured 11" straight tails that work very nicely.

The Original Jell Worm by Mann's.

My favorite worms are Culprit, SK Rage ReCon worm, and GrandeBass mega tail rattlesnake. You can get the Culprits in 7.5, 10, and 15 in, but ReCon worm and the rattlesnake only come in 8 in. I really like Green Shad color for the Culprits, falcon lake craw color for the ReCon worm, and watermelon blue fk for the rattlesnakes. Hope this helps!

The best big worm I've ever fished is the GO 2 , It's a hand pour that floats. I've been fishing the 13 inch paddletail here on table rock on a chompers wobble head . Awesome bait .

Stacey King won a PAA event here on it a while back, so it's kinda a not so well kept secret any more .

Try a 10" Yum "Mightee Worm", especially in watermelon/red. This is a straight tailed hunk of plastic that no self respecting bass can turn away from! Dy-No-Mitee! :)

Get the Xcite over the Yum. No doubt the Yum will catch fish especially on the fall, what makes the Xcite better is that it will stand up off the bottom if you are using the right jighead . This secondary action I believe will catch more fish. Yum's Mightee worm is an inferior rip off the Xcite, if you don't believe me buy a bag of each and stick them on a jighead and observe them in a swimming pool and you will see the difference. I've had some very good outings with the Xcite worm, they may not have the marketing resources of Pradco /Yum but they have the better more original product.

Yeah this is what I found on reviews on TWH and BPS sites.

I found a tackle shop(after several strikeouts) that had both the Mag Trick and Mightee in stock, half the colors of each worm were gone. After seeing and touching both, I went with the Mag Trick. It felt better, I love the regular trick worms and got more for the price, didn't have black so went with watermelon red over junebug and bubblegum. The Yums did have a lot more flake and transparency to their worms(that grape/red sure looks good). I got these for thursday, going to my spots where I know there are good size fish pushing 5 plus in there. First time I can fish in a while. let yall know if they do the trick. Thanks again for all the input.

Well been out with the zoom mag trick in wat/red flk 4 times now. not really using it that much, have varried results it has been having hits but nothing really nails it, don't know if it is taps on the tail or the fish are too small to swallow it. I haven't really given it much time since other stuff seems to be working better lately. It sinks a lot faster, most of the hits are on the way down versus the regular trick worm it was when I was dragging it. will keep you posted.
